Jessica DeCoste
Audiology & Administrative Assistant, MOA (Hons)
I grew up all over the place! I was born in B.C., then moved back to Nova Scotia as a toddler, with a brief adventure in Alberta when I was six. Most of my childhood was spent in the Antigonish area and mainly in HRM, where my family settled when I was 11. In 2013, my husband, daughter, and I moved to Alberta for seven years before returning home to Nova Scotia.
My journey into hearing care was a happy accident. I applied for a job at an audiology clinic and quickly fell in love with the science, the people, and the chance to make a real difference in patients’ lives. There’s nothing better than hearing stories from our patients about how hearing aids have changed their world, like discovering the refrigerator actually makes noise!
Day to day, I wear a lot of hats: You’ll find me at the front desk greeting patients, answering calls and emails, and helping with everything from paperwork to insurance forms. I support and educate patients on hearing aid care, manage appointments, handle billing and records, and keep the office running smoothly. I also do minor hearing aid repairs, cleanings, and infection control, plus a bit of marketing, event planning, and more.
My role is all about making sure your visit is as comfortable and helpful as possible!
What I love most about my work is the connections: with patients, their families, and our amazing team. Working in a locally owned clinic is special; we’re small enough to know each other’s names and build real relationships. Here, no one is just a number.
Outside the clinic, I love camping, fishing, hiking, embroidery, reading, and game nights with friends.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you on your hearing journey!
